LECTURES, SESSIONS, PRESENTATIONS ... The official language of the Symposium is English. All presentations at the Symposium will be in English. Over-head, media-projector with IBM PC, and multisystem
video-recorder will be available for presentations. The plenary lecture entitled "Impact of the N. N. Semenov
chain-branching reaction theory on progress in chemical science" will
be delivered by Prof. V. V. Azatyan of the In-stitute for Structural
Macrokinetics, Chernogolovka, Russia. Presentation time is 30 min, including
discussion. There will be four (4) technical sessions: * Sessions (2) and (3) will be organized as parallel sessions. Tentative title: "Clean Combustion or Exhaust At the end of the Symposium, an open Panel Discussion
will be organized to identify the issues to be addressed, the aspects
of research needed and the international coopera-tion that can be fostered
to solve the issues more effective-ly and expeditiously. The panel will
consist of scientists, program managers, and industry experts, and will
be mod-erated by the Symposium Co-Chairs. Eight (8) invited lectures, two at each technical session,
are intended as reviews of recent world-wide research accom-plishments
delivered by international experts. Presentation time is 40 min, including
discussion. Oral presentations will be on the latest results from
basic and applied research in combustion and atmospheric pollu-tion.
Presentation time is 20 min, including discussion. Poster presentations will be on ongoing basic and applied
experimental, theoretical, and computational research in the areas covered
in the Symposium. There will be several poster sessions. A poster will
be provided for each presen-tation. The authors of poster presentations
are requested to prepare their papers for display on 1x1 m poster.
